Lake Norman

This past weekend, our U 19 and U 15 teams competed in the Lake Norman carpetbagger tournament near Charlotte. The U 15 won the championship and our U 19 team reached the championship and came up a little short against a team we beat the previous day.

Geoff Rowland coached the U 15 team and we were fortunate that Sean Stalfort came aboard to help coach our offense Sunday. Sean was an All-America at Brown University and his twin sons, Will and Sam, who play for Western Albemarle in Charlottesville were outstanding. Will was named  championship MVP as a goalie, making 5 point blank saves, making 15 saves overall.

Our U19 team was a perfect 3-0 on Saturday, beating the Miners 8-6 in game 3. We welcomed 5 players from Virginia Beach, who all contributed and our new lacrosse friends from Franklin County also were big contributors. Cave Spring, Salem, Hidden Valley , Charlottesville, and New River Valley clubs all brought kids to play on U 19 and they were fantastic.
